Activities

  • Barnacle Sail Races are held weekly starting in the spring and continuing  through early fall.

  • Periodically, lectures and general interest programs are presented at the general membership meetings.

  • Annual Luau, Crab Feast, Oyster Roast and Pig Pickin' events.

  • Organized Club cruises for both sail and powerboats. In addition, the members enjoy many spontaneous cruises with associated parties.

  • Members and their guest are invited to two large parties sponsored by the club each year, the annual Christmas party and the summer Membership Appreciation party.

  • The Waterline, the club's newsletter provides timely news on the club's activities, special events, cruising and racing results, etc.

  • PBC hosts a Model Yacht special interest group that races a fleet of various craft from sloops to skipjacks. These radio controlled model yachts are often raced evenings and weekends at Portsmouth’s City Park and Crawford Bay.

  • Future activities may include a sail-training program for juniors. The proposed training courses will start with beginners and advance to more complex levels.
